The League of Women Voters USVI is a nonpartisan, grassroots chapter of the League of Women Voters US working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through nonpartisan advocacy and education at the local level.

• We educate new VI citizens about how to register to vote.
• We visit schools to encourage newly eligible local teens to register to vote.
• We collaborate with the Elections System to register voters and get the vote out.
• Through forums, seminars and local media we provide information for the public on issues of importance to the community.
• By testifying at VI Legislative Committee Hearings, we provide feedback, based on careful research, on selected bills and critical ballot issues.
• We provide virtual monthly programs (“Saturday Sessions”) so voters could learn from and ask questions of local government officials.
• During election years, we produce televised interviews with candidates for elective office (“Meet the Candidates Forums”)
